Affordable Holiday Home In Robe

Our holiday home in Robe is a wonderful place to get away with friends or family (the family dogs are also welcome). Ideally situated on the Esplanade, the beach is only a short stroll across the road. The house itself is set back, which allows for plenty of room for parking vehicles and boats as well as a safe place for the kids to run around in while you soak up the views from your private balcony. The nearby white, sandy beach is not only accessible by foot, but also by car, with access just a stone’s throw up the road.

There is a plethora of outdoor adventures waiting for you just outside of your door including cliff walks, beach strolls and a large reserve with BBQ facilities and a playground.A short drive will take you to Robe’s main street replete with eateries stocked with the best local produce, boutique shops and art galleries. Slightly further on you can access Little Dip Conservation Park (a 4WDriver’s paradise), several lakes for boating and kayaking as well as the Limestone Coast Wine Trail.

The House

The property itself has the following main features:

  • Downstairs features the bedrooms, bathroom and laundry;
  • Upstairs includes the open-plan kitchen, lounge and dining rooms, balcony & Airconditioning;
  • 3 bedroom house (the Master comprises a queen size bed; Bedroom 2 has a king size bed which can also be divided into two king singles; Bedroom 3 is smaller with a single bed);
  • 1 bathroom (including an ‘over-bath’ style shower with full size bath);
  • Fully equipped kitchen (with oven, microwave and dishwasher);
  • Laundry;
  • Lounge Room with flat screen TV (HDMI compatible);
  • Balcony with BBQ (and views!!);
  • Fenced (approximately 900 mm highor 90 cm) rear yard which is pet friendly;

Things To Do In Robe

We would recommend the following local highlights in order for you to make the most of your time in Robe:

  1. Long Beach – renowned for being one of the longest and whitest beaches around, you can swim, surf, fish, paddle, snorkel, walk or drive the 10kms to soak in some of the most spectacular coastline you will see anywhere in the world;
  2. Victoria Street, Robe’s main street – find an array of local eateries, pubs, takeaway shops, wineries, a cinema, a supermarket, bottle-shops, pharmacy, petrol stations, boutique clothing and souvenir shops, art galleries, information centre, hairdressers, beauticians and a hardware store.
  3. Historical attractions – skirting the west end of town are historical sites including the obelisk, old goal and endless picturesque views of the area’s namesake, the famous limestone coast;
  4. Conservation Parks and natural attractions – Robe is on the doorstep of Little Dip Conservation Park (offering a range of 4WD experiences over dunes and beaches, ranging from novice trails to tracks for experienced drivers) and Nora Creina (a small community with safe swimming beaches and local bushwalks) to name some highlights but there are many more;
  5. Boating, fishing and paddling –  as well as the boat ramp at the Robe Marina, there are several local lakes including Lake Fellmongery and Lake Battye accessible by boat ramp for you to fire up the jet ski, try your luck catching a local bream or paddle the calm waters;

Further afield – the Limestone Coast area boasts a range of quality local businesses including wineries (such as Governor Robe Wines and Cape Jaffa to name a few), the Robe Brewery, and other farmgate produce such as Mahalia Coffee and the Robe Dairy
